River Hills Foxhounds is an organized pack of private foxhounds supported by a limited group of subscribers.  The River Hills Foxhound's territory encompasses the farm and forestland of  southern Lancaster County and southwestern Chester County in Pennsylvania and northern Cecil County in Maryland.  The country is approximately 12 miles by 25 miles long.  The area is paneled with coups and logs and post and rail.  The Octorara River Valley into the Goat Hill Serpentine offers moderate terrain while the Susquehanna River Hills offers some beautiful cliffs (that foxes favor) as well as open farmland.  With the open fields and rocky narrow trails, any breed of horse can be both challenged and accommodated on any given hunting day.  The hunt would not be a success without the kind generosity of the landowners.  River Hills Foxhounds' underlying principle is to further goodwill and interest in safe fox hunting with a well prepared staff and pack of hounds.
